Luciano Rough Draft
for Luciano's Film/Photography class, i've been working on different ways to look at the body. my first project ("Artifact/Habitat") was a series of paired images of my cluttered spaces and small catalogs of all the items that surround my body (clothes, shoes, technological things, stuff from my dop kit, etc) but never my body itself--basically a portrait of the periphery of my body. for the second project, i've been working on transforming the material of the body into an abstract landscape. my rough draft is a 3/4" section of the space between my nose and eye magnified to a 2 foot by 15 foot photograph, which you can see here:

just got back from the tour. had a really great time with sam et al. got to see geneva, montpellier, tolouse, nantes, rouen, and amsterdam before heading back to paris on saturday. geneva: pretty but sterile. montpellier: tropical, alive--the havana of france. tolouse: idylic city, great people. nantes: interesting mix old and new--played for some fun crazy college kids. (avranches: quaint, stunning views of the coast and mont saint-michel). rouen: rouen. amsterdam: gorgeous.
